Policy wonks to meet in Vegas about Nevada's economic recovery

LAS VEGAS (AP) — Academic and policy wonks are searching for solutions to Nevada’s record foreclosure rate and other economic woes. 

The Center for Business and Economic Research at the University of Nevada Las Vegas will host a forum on the Silver State’s financial recovery and the national economy on Dec. 15 at the M Resort and Casino in Las Vegas.

John V. Duca of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas is slated to chat about the future of the housing market.

Roughly 14.2 percent of Nevadans are unemployed.
